Inlets – Bright Orange Air [MP3]

Multi-instrumentalist Sebastian Kreuger, recording under the moniker Inlets, self-recorded his new album Inter Arbiter in between time spent working at his full-time job, appearing on Saturday Night Live with Feist (he played the banjo) and collaborating with My Brightest Diamond. The result is an album that “marries the darker ornaments of baroque pop with lo-fi intimacy.” Still not sure whether Inlets is the thing for you? Does it help that Zach Conon (of Beirut) and Angel Deradoorian (of Dirty Projectors) will be appearing on Inter Arbiter?

The album’s out April 20th via twosyllable Records.

Apples In Stereo Travel In Space and Time In April [News]

The Apples In Stereo have announced that their new album, Travellers in Space and Time, will be released April 20th via Yep Roc/Simian Records. It’s the first album from the Elephant 6 band to feature new drummer John Dufilho, and it has Bill Doss and John Ferguson stepping in as full-time keyboardists.
